She Forks PHX // Nicantoni's 15th Anniversary Pizza Party

On Wednesday, July 18th the She Forks PHX community got together to share a big, Italian feast at Nicantoni’s Pizza and Pub. Guests started off by sampling wine or beer from Down Time Wines and Four Peaks Brewery, and to kick off the night they were treated to an assortment of appetizers. For appetizers we had stuffed mushrooms, arancini (rice balls), meatloaf and jalepenos wrapped in bacon, quesadillas, bruschetta, and Italian sushi. Already stuffed, we listened to Vic, the owner, talk about Nicantoni’s beginnings and watched him do a pizza demo. Jeremiah, the head chef also came out and talked about his inspiration – “Whatever pops into my head.” Finally, came the infamous NY-style pizzas. From margarita pizza, to mac and cheese pizza, to a combination pizza, there was a variety of delicious pizza slices to choose from, and everything was pizza-licious. To top off the night, we ate homemade cannoli’s that were gone down to every last bite. Cheers to 15 years Nicantoni's!
