Phoenix Staycations | Gila River Hotels and Casinos - Vee Quiva

Gila River Hotels and Casinos - Vee Quiva was a perfect escape during the monsoons. Located in Laveen, Arizona, the Native American hotel is a short drive from our home in Phoenix. As a AAA Four Diamond Awarded Hotel, we had high expectations, and Gila River Hotels and Casinos - Vee Quiva did not disappoint! 

As we approached our room, I immediately felt excitement. As a huge Phoenix Mercury fan, the door epically displayed the Mercury logo, inviting us in. (This was just one of the Sports Fanatic Rooms that Gila River Hotels and Casinos has to offer; they also have the Phoenix Suns and the Arizona Diamondbacks!) With custom Mercury wallpaper shining in purple and orange, a Mercury players’ height wall, and a signed Taurasi jersey, it was everything this Phoenix Mercury fan could ask for! 

Once we settled in, it was time to check out the casino. We simply took the stairs down one level and walked in! It was super convenient. There were so many games to choose from, from over 1350 slots to the black jack tables. I even got a custom players card with my name on it! And Gila River Hotels and Casinos - Vee Quiva also offers monthly promotions, making it even easier to win.

By the time we were done playing, we were starving! So we visited the Fullhouse Cafe for dinner, and George Lopez’s Tequila Lounge for drinks. For a late night snack, there’s a full food court serving Starbucks and Asian take-out, a perfect pick me up for those late nights!
