On April 20th, Nirvana Food and Wine Festival hosted Flutes and Coops - a culmination of fried chicken and cocktails. On this warm spring evening, we munched on creative concoctions such as fried chicken and oysters from creator, Jeff Jackson of A.R. Valentien at the Lodge at Torrey Pines, and sipped on unique cocktails such as "From the Ashes" by PJ Baron - a mix of prickly pear liqueur, "Soot & Thai" and charred pineapple puree. Every type of fried chicken was present, from Crispy Taiwanese Chicken Strips to Crispy Duck Wings. Each dish was elevated in its own distinct flavors, providing an unforgettable experience for attendees alike, and paired with the flavorful cocktails, it was like match made in heaven.
