Event // The Keg Steakhouse & Bar
On July 11th, we dined with a few other food bloggers for a quaint and lovely dinner at The Keg Steakhouse & Bar. Although "steak" is in the name of the restaurant, the real star of the night was the lobster! The lobster is flown in fresh from Canada, and truly wow'ed all of us. The Keg treated us to a night of delicious dining and hospitality.
Our first course was an array of appetizers. We tried a shrimp cocktail and a tuna tartare; both felt like taking bites into the ocean. We also tried a Lobster Gratinee which included baked lobster, garlic, herbs, monterey jack and cheddar cheese - a scrumptious and addictive dish that we all finished fairly quickly!
For the main course, we ordered both the Steak & Half Lobster and the Whole Atlantic Lobster. The Whole Atlantic Lobster was enormous! The steak was cooked perfectly as well, but we all had fun cracking into the lobster and clawing our way into the delicious tails. We also had twice baked potatoes which complimented both proteins - and bonus, had bacon in it, too!
Finally, for the dessert we ordered the Creme Brulee and the Carrot Cake. Hands down, this was the biggest, and best Carrot Cake I have ever had in my entire life! The Spiked Cold Brew also had a delectable ingredient: a magical Butterscotch liqueur. Overall, it was a truly memorable night, and we will be back at The Keg again soon!
