There’s so many Phoenix skin care services and business, that it’s hard to choose and trust a Phoenix skin care provider. However, I was lucky enough to find one! Last week, I sat down with local business owner, Amanda Penn, to learn more about her and her skin care business, Beauty Addict Studio. Unlike some aestheticians, Amanda actually cares about you and your skin, and customizes her services to serve your skin’s needs.

Amanda originally started out on a nursing school path, but after a bad experience, quickly realized that skin care is her passion. “Now, I help people look and feel great,” she said. Her calm demeanor and welcoming personality leaves room for excitement, especially in the form of her patients’ life stories and secrets.

“There’s been times people who I’ve never met before come in, and they tell me all their secrets. They leave saying, ‘I can’t believe I told you my whole life’s story!’ But I get it. When you don’t know somebody and they’re touching your face, it’s a very intimate thing. I try to just make it as easy as possible for them.”

What’s a typical facial like with Amanda? First, she starts by cleansing your face twice, then examining it with a UV lamp. She starts to understand your skin and has an open discussion about at-home skin care products. Afterwards, she applies an enzyme mask that eats away at the dead skin, leaving the pores open and soft. She extracts your skin with a skin scrubber to remove all the debris out, and finally finishes with another customized and cocktailed mask. The result? Beautiful, glowing skin!
