Event // Skylanes Bowling

The speakeasy vibes hit you as you're walking up the stairs to the venue; you feel like you're a part of something intimate and important. Welcome to Skylanes Boutique Bowling Club. It just opened, and the She Forks PHX team was set on checking it out. This isn’t your family-favorite classic bowling alley with endless lanes that you bring all of the kids to on a rainy Saturday afternoon. No, this is the place you want to go to with your girlfriends (or guy friends) on a Friday night with a cute outfit on, ready to have a good time.

Skylanes tailors to so many needs: easy entertainment, diverse seating, full-range eccentrically-named cocktails and food options, and a clear separation between the bar and the entertainment for wanted privacy. One of my favorite aspects on the bar side are the open-window tables which not only open up the whole room and give breath to the environment, but they allow for a more neutral experience if you’re not one to bowl or want to sit at the actual bar. They offer a full menu in case you’re coming from work and 'hangry' as ever, or smaller bites if you’re needing an after-dinner late-night snack. The only downside is that there are only a few lanes available to bowl at. But once again, with the place being so versatile, I can see myself bowling for a bit and then hopping over to the bar side for a separate cocktail experience or vice versa.

Check it out this weekend and let us know what you think!
