Winter Menu & More at Grimaldi's

Back when I lived on the East Coast, I once stood in line at the original Grimaldi’s in Brooklyn for two hours! That’s how loved Grimaldi’s is. So imagine my delight when I found out Grimaldi’s is just in my backyard in Chandler! I went in to taste a few winter items and more.

We started off with the bruschetta, trying all four flavors. The spread was truly fresh and amazing, with flavors ranging from Marinated Mushroom & Roasted Red Pepper, Classic Tomato & Basil, Marinated Artichoke, Roasted Red Pepper & Ricotta. Our favorite was the Marinated Artichoke, followed by the Marinated Mushroom & Roasted Red Pepper.

Then came the delicious Sausage & Wine-Braised Onion Pizza, topped with basil. I am not a chef, but it was like the chef had all my favorite toppings in mind for this one! The wine, sausage, onion, and basil created a wintry medley that sang notes in my mouth as I ate it bite by bite. I definitely would recommend this for anyone looking for rich, sophisticated flavors on their pizza.

For dessert we ordered a trio of Traditional Cheesecake, Cannoli, and the winter special, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Cheesecake. The Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Cheesecake was the stand-out dessert! The cheesecake was creamy and with the peanut butter added balance to the dish, making it easily a must-try for anyone with a sweet tooth and penchant for peanut butter. All in all, a wonderful visit to Grimaldi’s and true nod to their original restaurant back on the East Coast!
