Review | Argentine Imports, Roka Akor, and The Gladly
Have you ever wondered where your food comes from? When it comes to fine dining, spectacular restaurants cannot skimp on the quality of their ingredients. Enter Argentine Imports, an amazing company that sources the best ingredients out there for chefs, restaurants, and diners alike.
“Our partnerships support the courageous gauchos, skilled craftspeople, and artisan food makers that make this region’s heritage unique. Our meticulous sourcing and attention to detail ensure that every product we supply is of the highest quality,” says Argentine Imports about their mission.
I had the pleasure of dining at two of the restaurants they collaborate with, Roka Akor and The Gladly to taste the flavors that Argentine Imports curates. Here’s my thoughts on my experiences:
Dining at Roka Akor & Argentine Imports
Every time I visit Roka Akor, I feel I am celebrating a special occasion. The food is of the highest quality. I tried fresh pieces of sashimi that tasted just like the ocean, the Mishima Striploin, Truffle Aioli Wagyu Beef that was tender to the tongue, and the Yuzu Miso Marinated Black Cod that simply melted in my mouth. Everything we ate was fresh and delightful, a mixture of flavors that only come when chefs pay attention to the details. For instance, the sashimi was delicately sliced, seasoned lightly, and were the best cuts of fish I’ve had in a very long time. Absolutely superb.
Dining at The Gladly & Argentine Imports
The Gladly surprised me with The Night’s Special: a juicy steak with creamy, mushroom risotto to compliment it. I loved every bite of the steak and risotto, and the two became a medley in my mouth. We ordered seafood appetizers, including the Oysters of the Day as well as the Shrimp Cocktail. The shrimp were jumbo and the oysters were gone before I knew it! Both dishes encompassed fresh ingredients that left me wanting more.
